Marter is the Founder of Urban Balance, a counseling practice with over 100 therapists working from ten locations in three states. She is Chief Brand Ambassador for Refresh Mental Health, a corporation that owns and operates premier outpatient mental health and eating disorder companies with over 1000 employees working from 65 locations nationally. Marter is the Chair of the Midwest Region of the American Counseling Association. She is an author and blogger for the Huffington Post and PsychCentral and has been featured in the media in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, CNN and MTV.
With a passion for applying psychology to business and vice versa, Joyce loves facilitating her own original content in her keynote address entitled, “The Psychology of Success” which is a magic recipe of the twelve keys to success and prosperity, both personally and professionally. These include living with intentions including presence, resilience, detachment, vision, positivity and abundance. She loves to share stories from her work with clients and her own journey.
