We are thrilled to announce that “The Financial Mindset Fix,” a mental fitness program for an Abundant Life by Joyce Marter, has been awarded the prestigious $250 cash prize. Joyce Marter, the recipient, is here with us today to share a few words of gratitude.
Expressing her sincere thanks to the awards committee, Joyce congratulates all the award winners and supporters. As a first-time author, she feels deeply honored and humbled by this recognition. With 25 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist, Joyce finds her work emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually rewarding.
In her journey, Joyce founded Urban Balance, an outpatient mental health company in Chicago. Starting with $500 and accumulating $50,000 in debt, she faced challenges such as insomnia, panic attacks, and financial anxiety. Recognizing the vital connection between mental health and financial health, Joyce utilized tools from her clinical training and support from friends to turn her company around. Eventually, she sold it for more money than she could have imagined.
Joyce considers it her mission to destigmatize mental health and financial struggle, acknowledging it as part of the human condition. She aims to provide practical tools and strategies for coping, healing, thriving, recovering, and prospering together. Her book has been published in China, Korea, and Spain, and she expresses her gratitude while congratulating all the other nominees. Looking forward, Joyce is excited about writing her next book.
